I’m Lucía Ruiz Pastor, and horses have been my passion and my way of life since I was a child.
With Duende del Sol, I’ve made a dream come true: creating a space where respect, animal welfare, and learning go hand in hand.
Here, each horse receives personalized attention, and each student learns to enjoy riding with empathy and trust.
My goal is to transmit the values that have always been with me: love for animals, hard work, perseverance, and connection with nature.

With years of dedication to the industry, we’ve built a space designed for children, young adults, and adults, where a love of horses meets quality education. Here, it’s not just about learning to ride, but also about developing values such as respect, discipline, perseverance, and self-confidence.

At Duende del Sol, we’ve turned our passion for horses into a lifelong project. We’re a riding school in Alicante, located in Monóvar, surrounded by a privileged natural environment that allows us to enjoy riding, training, and spending time with these noble animals every day. Our goal is to bring the equestrian world closer to all those who seek more than just a sport: a unique experience of connection, learning, and enjoyment.

Duende del Sol’s philosophy is simple: to offer top-quality horse riding and horse training, always ensuring animal welfare and creating a healthy relationship between rider and horse.
We understand that everyone approaches the world of horse riding for different reasons. Some seek a hobby to enjoy with the family, others want to perfect their technique, and still others dream of competing. At our riding school in Alicante, we cater to all profiles, from children ages 6 and up to adults over 60 who want to discover this exciting world or take up a hobby they’ve left behind.
What sets us apart is our close, personalized service. We adapt to each student’s pace and each horse’s needs, ensuring that both develop in harmony.

Horse riding lessons
Riding lessons are one of our specialties. We work with both beginners riding a horse for the first time and advanced riders looking to perfect their technique. We teach everything from the basics—how to care for and saddle a horse—to more complex exercises on the arena floor.
The sessions are designed to help each student progress safely, always under the supervision of qualified professionals. We also encourage children and adults to learn while enjoying themselves in a relaxed and natural environment.
Horse training and boarding
Our experience in dressage allows us to work with horses of different ages and training levels. At Duende del Sol, we rely on respectful and progressive methods that promote the animal’s learning without subjecting it to unnecessary pressure.
